1 Batman: “So it’s decided. Karen will sell holographic control tech to Kord Industries so she can compete with Luthor again, because her actions won’t be threatening a monopoly. And I’ll do the same with Michael Holt, regarding deep space tech.”
2 Green Arrow: “Luthor still bought himself a whole bunch of breathing room.”
2 Power Girl: “It couldn’t be helped.”
3 Green Arrow: “You know, for this to have any chance at success, you’re going to have to remain in the public eye. With the, uh, pregnancy thing… we can say you’re Catholic or something, and that’s why you’re not having an abortion. That you plan to give it away for adoption or something.”
4 Power Girl: “That is way too risky. Too many people could connect Karen Starr and Power Girl if both are pregnant at the same time. And for such a short period of time, to boot.”
4 Green Arrow: “Then fucking double corset up as Power Girl, and hope your damn boobs hide it.”
5 Superman: “I don’t think it would be out of line for you to have Karen Starr be on vacation for a while, if you need to be out of sight. What’s important is that StarrWare still be keeping up the pressure, and you can have Edward be your public face for that just as much as Bruce uses Lucius.”
5 Green Arrow: “Damn it. You’re just mad that this isn’t your show. That we didn’t let you call the shots on the whole operation.”
6 Superman: “No, I’m glad you didn’t involve me, before. It was better that way, and you were right to leave me out of it. But now – you picked the right time to call me. No one could have predicted all this, and it necessitates a careful response.”
